Hi everyone,

I am in the process of renovating my house and setting up my new office.

I am taking a page out of Linus's book and planning on putting my PC in a utility closet in a small rack that will service the second floor of my house.

I am looking to run peripherals over Thunderbolt 4 over a fairly short distance. (6-10') My rational for doing this is two fold. 1) I can move the PC physically off my desk and into a sound enclosed environment and 2) I can quickly swap out the thunderbolt from my main gaming rig to my work laptop without having to move any cables or peripherals.

I am looking for rack mounted case suggestions. Thickness isn't a particular concern, as I will have more than enough room in the rack I am putting in the closet. Looking for something that fits traditional ATX configurations and ability to mount standard PSUs.

Thanks!

ask me about my homelab
