Hi,

I'm not exactly sure what's going on, but it's been a couple of months that when ever I start my computer, the taskbar would be blinking from a couple of seconds to a couple of minutes. I recently tried to plug it on my TV with a different HDMI cable and it still blinked.

I am really clueless of what cause this is from and would really like to have a hint on where to look for to solve this. My GPU is up to date and I have the latest windows 10 updates.

Thank you.

Are these 3 monitors on your computer directly or through a splitter or some hub?

Could I get a spec on the GPU, along with the monitors?

They each are connected with different cables to the GPU with Display ports.

Monitor

  1. left(HP Compaq LA2405wg)
  2. center (LG Ultragear 27GL83A-B)
  3. right (not sure).

I don't think the monitor's the issue since i've tested on a single TV and it did the same issue.

GPU: GTX 1060 6GB

Is it just the taskbar or the whole screen. What happens when you open a window.

Only the taskbar that blinks. The screen seems to be at the same state. I can open task manager, but I can't find Window Explorer booting up. I used to have a similar problem a couple years ago with Windows 8 where I could restart the Window Explorer exe and it would solve it, but now it doesn't show up in the Processes or Details in Task Manager.

It seems to be mostly software than hardware.

Indeed. The guaranteed way to fix it is reinstall Windows.

I guess it's time to bite the bullet and upgrade to Windows 11.

Do you have it set under display settings to span the taskbar? Have u tried setting up Nvidia surround?

Haven't tried surround before. Would be neat to try one day. Not quite sure what your first question is, but there's 1 task bar for every screens, not just 1 stretch for the 3.

I'd hold off on that

Windows 11 is still having some teething issues and Windows 10 still has security updates until 2025

Yeah, I wouldn't wish to go into Windows 11 either at such an early stage. I'm really not sure what's up with my task bar though.

Try setting up surround in the Nvidia control panel,it might fix this
