I have ryzen 5 3600 with the stock wraith cooler. Idling with nothing running I sit around 45-50c, when playing cyberpunk or doom eternal or forza and nfs heat my cpu Temps hit anywhere from 80-89c. Would it be worth upgrading to the cooler master hyper 212 black edition?

I did run the stock cooler as wel on my 3600 for a week or 2 because I was just curious.

I didn't get to the 80C like you but definitly saw 65-70.

 

After installing the CPU cooler I had already lying around (Noctua NHD-15) I haven't seen anything above 40.

 

I don't have hands-on experience with the CoolerMaster but I will most certainly do something.

It will help with temperatures, but I wouldn't expect a noticeable increase in performance.

I got it all swapped out, I now idle at around 40-50 and playing games constantly for 3 or 4 hrs I only max out around 65-72 dependinf on the game

Thats cool! Case airflow is also really important so make sure to closely examine if you want to improve anything.

These temps are however perfectly fine so I would'nt worry to much.
