Sd card not showing correct data

Hey 

I bought this sd card a day ago and it doesnt show the correct amount of gigabytes in it is this like a samsung thing or is the sd card broken?

This is normal. Data storage manufacturers measure data capacity in kilobytes (powers of ten), while most operating systems measure in kibibytes, powers of two. This leads to discrepancies in reported capacity.

Don't worry about it, your SD card is fine.

Well, how many GBs is it supposed to show? The first screen says 46.2 of 64 GB used. 64 GB sounds like a typical size for an SD card.

 

Oh, you mean the 119..4 GB at the bottom. Completely normal for a 128 GB card, as was said.

 

128 GB (x1000 x1000 x1000) = 128.000.000.000 byte

128.000.000.000 byte (/1024 /1024 /1024) = 119.2 GiB

Okay but why is it showing 700mb instead of 12gb when clearly call of duty is moved to the sd card? Referring to picture 3

Data transfer isn't instant; you likely took the screenshot when it had measured only 700MB transferred.

Nope it still says 700mb except its 800mb now
