System underperforming on games

I have an i7 9700K, RTX 3060ti, 32GB 3200MHz RAM, and I am getting 100-150 fps on CS:GO and Valorant on 1440p.

The benchmarks I see on youtube with similar specs have 300-400 fps for both games

 

Most benchmarks seem to run fine except cinebench R23 (I get 7000 instead of 9400)

Please help...

Maybe you have your system set up in an unusual way or something.  There was someone around recently, for instance, with high end hardware but he was running only a single stick of memory so everything was single channel. 

Given that it appears to only be happening in some apps it’s probably some setting.  I dunno what.

so not 4x8 which would be the other option. Cinemabench tests multithreading performance, which implies whatever dissimilarity you have with these other systems may affect multiprocessing in some way, but not single core.  It’s just an implication though.  I don’t know how exactly cinemabench works. For all I know it could be, for example, a networking thing or something (both the games mentioned are multiplayer)  There are just so very many possible things.  Someone else may be able to determine something by looking at the rest of your system, storage types, OS build version, and whatnot.  I can’t think of a reason myself, but that doesn’t mean someone else won’t.

OS is Windows 11

Storage is SSD

I guess network might affect performance but I have gone into offline/practice mode with similar frames so I don't believe that is the issue.

 

I believe it still is a CPU issue as when playing valorant, one core seems to be maxed out so I will try cleaning the pc and reapplying the thermal paste (even though I don't think it's an overheating issue)

If I was going to do “killitwithfire!! Idontcarewhatittakes!” stuff to it I might try getting fresh (not from the machine) copies of drivers, updating bios, clearing CMOS, doing another clean reinstall, and then rewriting all the drivers from the downloaded copies. Basically clear every piece of code from the machine and replace it with new.  I don’t know that it would actually do anything though. If it did even work the why would still be a mystery.
