So wouldn't that mean that for the same purpose (pushing air in/out of case) they would be better than Air flow fans?

it depends, from what i've seen on forums, air flow optimized fans tend to push more air as they have a higher cfm in an unrestricted space. static pressure is generally designed for heatsinks and radiators with a lot of resistance to the fans.

 

but it's up to you, whatever floats your boat
