Its for mounting to the new Intel CPUs. If you are not using Intel then you don't need it.

Right, like I said. I'm looking to use the AMD 5950x so I don't think I would end up needing the LGA bracket. Thank you for informing me about it though.

A 5950X is major overkill for gaming and casual streaming.
