By the way I ordered today a AE-5 Plus for an amazing price.

Sennheiser knows howto do a good mic, but a separate mic is usually better and cheaper.

When i ask for more specs, don't expect me to know the answer!

Probably not what you're looking for but from a budget point of view, the razer kraken x lite are a really good set for the money. Great headphones. Great bass. Great highs. Great mic. I got these as a temp replaicment for a set that got wrecked. It was just supposed to be a cheap set to keep me going until i could affored something better but i've ended up stuck with these. They are the best bang for the buck you can get. They are also surround sound. It works very well during gaming. I'm a bit of an audiophile. I write my own music on pc. I use my headset for music and gaming. I have them plugged straight into my audio card. They just work and they do a great job for the money. I highly recomend them. I got mine on offer for £30 uk from amazon.

Just to add that i have a £400 5.1 surround speaker set and with this headset, i can hear more details than through the speakers. They are so much clearer and detailed. So this budget £30 headset is kicking the arse out my £400 speaker set.

Doubt it's the speakers, more like sound processing.

I'd look at the Corsair Virtuoso SE as well, good mic from what my friends all say.  Sounds great as well.  Detachable mic if you don't want to use it at any time.

It's not sound processing. I'm using the same audio card, settings etc for both. Take for example this video. It's a song i mixed up. It has the sounds of sea at the start of it. I can't hear the sea through my speakers properly but i can hear it loud and clear using the headset i'm on about. It's not the only example i have. This headset makes all sorts of details jump out that my speakers just can't do.

Basically anything V-Moda.  I love the Crossfade M100's, have had for years.  Would look at the Crossfade 2 Wireless if you wanted no cord.

AE-5 plus for $142 USD? That's what I'm assuming. I would probably recommend just returning it/canceling the order. Why? Well for like $60 more you can get something that performs much better (The schiit modi 3 with a magni3+ directly off of schiit.com). While there are likely better headphones out there for gaming, for general use the Hifiman he400se is my top pick, and I generaly fin it more enjoyable than anything that's optimized for gaming (You won't loose much of a competitive advantage if anything). So my Pick?

-Hifiman he400se

-Schiit Modi 3 and magni 3+

-RCA interconnect cables to connect the stack

-Usb-type-a (or whatever cable you'll use to connect to your source, such as your pc), to micro usb cable iirc.

I am NOT a professional and a lot of the time what I'm saying is based on limited knowledge and experience. I'm going to be incorrect at times.

Sadly in my country it is different:
I bought the AE-5 Plus for 136 USD (usually it costs 185 USD). If I order Schiit Modi 3 and Magni3+ (200$), need to add 40$ for shipping and 50$ for taxes, so it becomes almost 300$. Does it really worth adding 164$?

For the headphones, yes, I consider the he400se to be significantly better. I'll just say it now in case, I've tried the majority of popular picks in the sub-$200 pricerange, and I'm aware of many other more obscure headphones from here and there, and have impressions from people that I trust for them. I see. Any other option you can see here:

Doesn't seem like there are any great options there. You could get away with the sound card most likely, the schiit stack will perform significantly better. Maybe see how much the Ifi zendac is for you, if it's around $50 USD less than thee schiit stack, maybe consider that.

I decided to go with HD560S + ModMic Umi. There are A LOT of positive comments about it for FPS.

For the DAC/AMP, I found Fiio K5 Pro (used) for 50USD, which sounds very tempting.

What do you think I should choose between Schiit stack/hel(280 USD) ,ifi(200 USD), Fiio K5 Pro(60 USD) and AE-5 Plus(136$)?
