Aorus X7 power issue

Alright, almost no way anyone knows what this might be but I figured I'd give it a shot. I have been using an Aorus X7 V5, i7 6820HK OC'ed to 4Ghz and undervolted 40mV, 32GB RAM, 970M SLI. I have been using a Dell 330W 19.5V laptop power supply since it's what I had already, it uses the same size plug, and matches the voltage requirement of the stock charger.

Now being that this laptop requires a 230W charger stock, I'd think that with a 330W charger I should be all set, but it seems if I play games with SLI enabled it will randomly hard power cut and shut off. Not only that but it also seems to trip overcurrent protection in the laptop brick as well. Now I know that when I'm playing games I'm only pulling around 230W, I've measured it with a plug reader. Just not sure what else to look at here though.
