For the past few weeks I've been having problems with my mouse stuttering. Roughly every 1 second or so it'll freeze up then continue moving like normal. I've already tried redownloading windows, updating and reinstalling drivers, replacing my mouse, and changing settings like inactive window scrolling. I am currently using the following:

Motherboard:ASUS ROG CROSSHAIR VII HERO

Processor:AMD Ryzen 7 2700X

RAM:16.0 GB Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200

Graphics Card:NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti

Mouse: Logitech G502

Monitor: Asus VG248QE 24' Full HD 1920x1080 144Hz

Yeah before I swapped to a new mouse I tried cleaning the mouse and mouse pad off, but the problem has persisted through.

have you changed the usb port might be the port itself

Yeah, I mean I haven't changed out the usb port, but I have swapped around where it's plugged in at, no matter which port it's plugged into it still stutters(which that's just the best way I can describe it) it's really just like it freezes up for just a second then goes back to normal, kind of like a heart beat.

might just be the mouse itself then dpi settings ?! or anything like that ?

Man that’s where I’m completely lost, I thought my old mouse was going out so I got a new one, same thing happening with the new one. I’ve reinstalled the Logitech software for the mouse, tried all different ports, changed settings for the mouse, made sure all drivers were up to date. I’m just lost at what to even try to do at this point to try to fix it.

I don’t think it was a mouse or software issue the whole time, we pretty much took apart and rebuild the pc making sure everything was plugged in good and what not, cleaned and re-applied thermal paste to the processor and in doing all that it fixed the problem. I’m thinking it was maybe something loose inside but not completely sure.
