M.2 works then doesn't after a couple days

I have installed my m.2 a couple timed now and made sure it was seen everywhere and made a partition. I am able to write on it and run games and files off of it for a couple days and then it will not read anything on it. Games will not load up and files give not found errors. What could be the problem?
