I have 3 drives in my computer: my SSD, a hard drive for my games, and another hard drive for my movies and shows. I don't want to lose what's on my 2 hard drives, so if I unplugged them during installation and then plugged them back in afterwards, would I still be able to access all of my files on both drives?

Yes. Even if you don't unplug them they will be fine.

Yes you would. As a matter of fact, you don't even have to unplug them.

Well, it's probably best not to leave them unplugged. You may do some damage to them. Believe me, I had two hard drives. I accidentally formatted the WRONG one while installing Windows 7. Bye bye 500GB!

If any of them have the same capacity, I'd unplug just to be safe.

You planning on upgrading to Windows 8.1?
