I am using this one from Staples:

I think chairs like these offer good support and are better than most gaming chairs.

Maybe consider a similar chair that can accommodate your dimensions.

I'm about 220 and I haven't had any issues. Can't speak for beyond that. I sit in it about 8 hours a day.

I have seen some good results from others on chairs that look like this:

I wish I had more information for Germany.

Here in the USA everyone gushes over Herman Miller chairs, but they are very expensive.

HM is very good, quality-wise.  They were just the major originator of the mesh chair, everyone does it in some fashion now.

I personally prefer Steelcase chairs for long hours,

Logically it makes sense to spend a lot of money on a nice chair to save your back.

I just can never find one that fits me the right way.

Work offered to let us take home our office chairs....Maybe I should take them up on that offer

Definitely.  I'd take that offer all day, try out as many as they let you.  100% agree with spending as much as necessary for a good chair.

If I could find a chair as comfortable for hours as my Volvo seats... OMG, I'd refi the house.

FYI, pleather (or PU Leather) will NOT last.  Period.

I have a comfortable chair from Costco but the fake leather is cracking.   In your price range, you should be able to find good synthetic leather if not real leather.

Steelcase Amia is a good chair, up to 400 pounds...  Gesture is out of the price range but it is the successor to the Criterion which I loved.

I personally prefer Steelcase chairs for long hours,

I'm a tad taller but significantly lighter, yet even at my weight I tend to destroy cheap chairs. I once broke the feet off of one, one of the wheels came flying off and smacked me in the face. I dont lean back but I do lean sideways, and thats the problem.

It all depends how you intend to sit. I own 2 need for seat chairs, their huge option, and i dont even use the piston they are so large. Since it sit on my legs and dont sit in the same position often, they are perfect for me, but i warn you you'll only get a few years out of a good "racing" chair and these are the best quality I've seen. Most are trash.

Herman miller is a good suggestion (and better for your back), but they are more form fitting chairs and you really need to know if they'll fit the and posture they force you into is right for you. Usually, I'd tell most people to just look at the used market for one- they last years and that way you can sit before you buy too. Offices closing down is a great way to get one cheap.

In my case, I'm unable to find them in my size used and I'm sure you'd have the same problem. It's hard to commit to 1000USD+ for a chair without sitting first so I never ordered one. Most of them are WAY to small for me unless I were to order the right size.
The advice I'd give is sit in anything locally you can.

Look outside of racing chairs first. But if you do go for one, I can vouch this will hold you and youll get 4-5 years out of it before it gets too bad. The armrests tend to peel after a long time (they sell replacements) and the fake leather will peel after about 5 years- at least they did for me, a jeans 24/7 kinda guy.

Your chair is like your bed- if you can find something perfect spend what you need to in order to get it. I personally plan to drop way more than I did on my bed for the perfect chair, I just haven't found something yet.

I own 2 need for seat chairs, their huge option, and i dont even use the piston they are so large. my position in the chair is mostly slightly tilted back or close to laying  when im watching a movie. The problem with test sitting in my area is im on the country side with no real options  to test sit.

I dont really like those gaming chairs the only reason i got them until now was they got good Reviews and i couldn't test any other chairs.

Im really tempted to buy the Herman miller herman miller embody  its a big investment and im usure about the durability it seems most of the chair is made of plastic and 1.2k€ is a bit much for 1-3 years of use

and btw sorry for my bad English its not my main language
