Forum changes: badges, post count, solved count

Since the update, I've noticed a lot of...roughness to the website. I've been pretty welcoming to most changes that have happened over the years, but this time it seems. Lacking.

 

Badges

So, the new forum rank icons are out. They confuse me. I get what you're trying to do, but the execution doesn't make a whole lot of sense. There's many different icons, but none of them seem to be related to anything.

It would make more sense if you had a more ornate surround to the icon the higher up you are. Currently they're all the same, which adds even more to the pointlessness of it.

I'll use Halo kill streaks as an example, since I'm horrible at explaining things:

 

 

The bottom row of images. The further you progress, the more spikes you get. It'd make more sense if the forum "rankings" (or whatever they're called) are like that.

Also, some kind of sticky showing what they are would probably be useful as well. Right now they just seem like random additions, it'd be nice if they actually had some sort of cohesive meaning (and didn't cover user names ).

 

Post Count
Having the full number was, IMO, far better than what it currently is. Or, if you're looking to save space, having it just as 1k, 2k, etc might be better; having 2.1k.

 

 

Showing Solved Answers

It's been brought up by other users that having this displayed really doesn't make much sense. This forum covers a broad range of tech topics, and it instills even more potentially undue trust aside from a simple post count number. I'd wager it's even worse, since they've clearly been of help to someone. However, the entirety of their solved answers could be in a completely unrelated sub forum. I just don't see any usefulness in having this shown outside of the users page.

There were some other issues that seem to have been solved since I started (slowly) writing this, does anyone else have any that they've noticed?

It'd be nice if in the future there was more testing done before something was rolled out on the forum. This seems like it was rushed and a lot more half-assed than I feel we're used to on the forum.
