Steps to reproduce/what were you doing before it happened?

Write a draft in a thread. Leave the page and come back. Quote a user in the thread without scrolling down and clicking on the editor

 

What happened?

Partially written post disappears, is entirely replaced by the new quotation

 

What did you expect to happen?

Either appending the quotation to my draft or asking me what to do.

If there are no prompts, centrally managed drafts would be a usable and acceptable alternative. As it is, you have to do a bunch of manual clipboard management involving manually loading up the editor by clicking it if you start writing a post and only later realize you want to add a quotation from a different page of the discussion. It's also unclear when the editor has saved a draft (i.e., how recent the saved content is), so you don't know what you're going to lose if you leave a page
