1. Download CrystalDiskInfo and check if there's any SMART error with your hard drive. 

2. Set folder optimization to General Items.

Hi so I have a folder on my laptop to be precise it's my downloads folder and has only 23.6GB but takes 5-10 full seconds to open the folder and it's only that specific folder any other folder in any of my drives opens quick and it's a noticeable change which I don't like as it is very noticeable.
