Brightness scaling on Piexl 6 Pro 50% very dim, last 10% huge difference.

I noticed immediately how low the brightness was upon loading the pixel 6 pro. To my astonishment it was on 61%?!

I have a Samsung a50 that I am upgrading from and at 50% brightness both on white theme the Samsung feels like double the brightness.

 

The Pixel 6 Pro is apparently 852 Nits while the Samsung is 550

Having checked both on  MAX brightness the Pixel 6 Pro is a lot brighter.

It seems there i some weried scaling going on where the last 10% does a LOT more for the brighness.

Strange choice by google there
