The Acer Aspire V5-573PG-9610

M305809

Hello, I'm planning on purchasing this laptop because it will be perfect for what I will be doing with this(light gaming, school work, web). But the only thing I don't like is that it has a 1tb harddrive that runs at only 5400 rpm. So, if any of you know if it is possible to add a second drive(ssd), I would appreciate it if you could let me know because I can not find the answer anywhere. Thanks in advance if I have to make you tear apart your laptop.

You can try ebay. DVD Drive hard drive caddy. If not Amazon.

I think I saw someone saying they installed an msata SSD into it, so there's another option. I actually bought a variant of the V5 the other day but I haven't had a chance to tear it open to have a look yet, so I don't know for sure what's inside.

Every loud bang is a lesson learned.

Im on an Acer Aspire V5 552 right now and the hard drive is fine for me. Game loading times are a little bit of a wait compared to my 7200rpm desktop hard drive but not enough to discourage me.

If youre used to ssd speed though, you may have to replace it im unsure.

So there is or there isn't another slot for a second sata drive? : /
