One Thread - Two Rigs (fairly high end)

district_11

Okay, first I have to say that both of these rigs have their own threads on here, but I decided to combine them into one thread, mainly because it makes my part selection clearer on the second build (at least I think so), and it should be easier for me to catch any questions, but if it's regarded as spamming, I apologize.

Anyway, I'll start with the first ever PC I built. My pride and joy. I have always wanted to so something like this but never thought it could be this easy. It's my go-to rig for gaming and pretty much anything else. Even between rounds on Titanfall I catch myself staring into the window at the components inside lol

Following the success/fun I had building my first rig, I knew I had to build a second machine to replace my downloading/browsing PC. The PC I was using before was a horrible prebuilt model, with an ITX mobo with literally no upgrade options (other than an extra stick of RAM) That I bought before I knew any better ( I will never, ever buy a prebuilt PC ever again!)  Initially I was going to make it a budget build, with a cheap mobo, no SSD and no aftermarket cooler but that kind of went out the window once I started choosing parts lol.

I regret nothing though as IMO I have a solid machine that'll last me a long time for what I need it for.

hey man i have a idea for you, put a decent gpu in that browsing/ downloading pc and you can add 3 functions to it, 1 put a partition of steam os on to make it a steam machine, 2 it can be a lan machine, and 3 it can be used to stream games to a nvidia sheild. (i would recomend somthing like a 750ti). also DAM THATS SEXY!!!!

How does the integrated GPU handle playing HD video and such?
And what are you using for storage, a NAS?

Those are some very good looking builds, and some yellow custom sleeving on the second one would put it over the top.

Too much is never enough.

Plays HD video perfectly fine.

Both rigs have 4.2TB of storage, but I do have a 3TB NAS for streaming movies to my Intel NUC which I use as a HTPC

I thought of one suggestion. It looks like there might be a bit of space between the PSU and the MoBo plate. Above the PSU there is a bent bit of metal and I am pretty much sure there is a hole under it. I would suggest you try to hide that front audio cable through that hole and behind the PSU. (2. computer)

Also, when I picked up on something that probably isn't even possible, it is a compliment itself. Both PCs look just amazing.

All of them are Quiet Editions, they're controlled by a fan controller on the gaming rig so quiet enough.
