NAS Recommendations

Hi all,

I'm a High School Senior heading to University next year. I would like to have 3 storage places. Local Machine itself, NAS or other Network Storage (i.e PC with something like ZeroTier or something running), and an off-site at my current house, which I already have something to use for that. For those that have been to University here in the US, what is generally the rule on NAS' within dorms and the schools network. The university I'm hoping to attend requires you to live on campus first year.

Normally you can't have a nas in a dorm. But depends on the school, check their rules.

 

But I also had a 12u server rack, and did some trickery to get it to work right.

Good to know. Then I'll probably just have one off site back up at my current house.
