5700g+crosshair VIII hero?

Eatz

is it possible to use the igpu of a 5700g in a crosshair VIII hero? gpu i thought i had bought was out of stock after i had already purchased it so i just want to use my pc to get it setup
i have a HD 6850 as a vga adapter which works for now but is NOT ideal as i get like 15fps on my desktop.

Since there's no display outs on that mobo, the iGPU is more than likely disabled. If you already have that motherboard, get a GT 710 for $50 and use that for the time being. If you don't have that motherboard, get literally any other board. It's very expensive, and only extreme overclockers can fully take advantage of it.

You don't appear to have a cable port on your motherboard io. Then no unfortunately. You'll have to continue using that stand in gpu or get a different one. Sorry. You do have a usb c port though. So you can use fancy android q in desktop mode if you have a supported phone

Your motherboard. If you're confused, it's the Wi-Fi version. To answer your question, for you to use integrated graphics your motherboard must have something like hdmi or displayport currently. Of which you do not have

the iGPU probably isnt disabled, unlike Intel platforms motherboard could not simply not power the iGPU. It is powered by the same VRM powering the I/O die and maybe more.

But using the iGPU for display still means using a graphics card and passthough the signal, which is quite some work (let alone with an old graphics card, you could run into driver conflicts). Did you install the right video driver and set the refresh rate of the display and desktop screen correctly?

I have doubts that the HD 6850's performance is the cause, the basic 2D desktop is so easy to run that it doesnt matter how slow the GPU is.

Actually you can't. You couldn't have different versions of AMD video drivers because they will conflict each other, but at the same time there are no drivers that support both the 5700G's iGPU (which first appeared in Feb 2018 on the 2200G) and the HD 6850 (last driver that supports it came from July 2015).

i can figure out a slightly better gpu, i think i have an rx 560 somewhere also but thats slower than the igpu.

As I said, performance doesnt matter for the desktop. Being new enough will do
