Asus tuf gaming x570 with 5900x

Hello all, I currently have an asus x570 plus running a 3900x, I just installed a 3080 ti and also want to upgrade the cpu, can someone tell me if the 5900x will boot? Or what steps I should take if I want to install that cpu that will make it work, or go smoothly. Thanks in advance
