If it seems to happen after you log in, I would have to say a bad OC (even though it may be stable) or a corrupted Windows install. Bring everything down to stock and see what it does.

So my pc has started to shut off randomly after signing in to Windows 7 but it will stay on just fine when I am on the sign in screen.

 

I've checked HWMonitor and tested with Prime95 and my temps are fine and my overclocks are stable.

 

I hope to god it isn't my PSU but I wouldn't rule it out just yet considering my luck.

 

My specs are in my signature.

Try booting into linux off of a flash drive and see if it does it then

It shuts off a bit after I sign into Windows so I think the OC may have something to with it.

 

It has been stable for the past few months but now it is starting to act up.  Can this happen normally?

ALL I WANTED TO DO WAS PLAY DARK SOULS AND LISTEN TO A VIDEO IN THE BACKGROUND!

 

I turned down the clock speed to stock and it seems to have worked...but I'll let you all know the results either tomorrow or tonight.

Check your ram ...i know it sounds dumb but that what happen to me i never seen that my dram light was on till like a day later and ipushed in the ram  tighter and boom works good

It happened a lot when I tried to get a stable @4.78 on my 4670k. Try to monitor the wattage of you psu over time and see if it does weird stuff.

I changed my cpu back to the stock clock and now it is fine.
