Friends Building a PC, this is what I lined up for him. Opinions?

(He doesn't need 1TB of space, hes had his pc for 3 years and only used 200gb)

Budget is 1300 but saving money and keeping performance is fine.

My only real suggestion is to get a cheaper power supply and more storage. For $1300, you might as well spit up the extra cash for a nice 1TB HDD, even if he supposedly uses 200GB.

for the everslight upgrade of like 30$ get a 1tb cause he will have more games on this pc

No other suggestions besides the HD?

650w is pointless. You can't SLI & Overclock with that wattage. with 750 you've got room for both. if you're buying 650 you mine as well drop to 500w, decrease mobo quality cause you dont need SLI or OC, and get a locked processor, and a 780 TI

with SLI the build runs 707w before OC.

(780, 780, 4670k)

It's not a good idea + he doesn't want to water cool. (paranoid)

I'm just trying to be on the safe side for my friend.

I'm sure with the amount of wattage it actually draws from the wall to be used because of it's certification it could be done, but rather be safe then sorry.

I was contemplating that , but what would the actual difference be for the evo swap? I didn't think it'd be a noticeable change for the $

the h100i will get better temps no questions asked and will do better with OC if he ever wants to OC allot then do it
