CPU Power Cables

jasonditz

Board is an MSI Z490 MPG Gaming Edge Wifi. CPU_PWR1 is an 8 pin, CPU_PWR2 is a 4-pin.

PSU is a Seasonic Syncro Connect DPC-850, and I see 4x 4 pin CPU cables, Who goes where, and does it matter?

So, you should have 2-4x2 (8-pin) CPU EPS power cables provided in the box with the power supply, right?? Combine the 4pin connectors to form a 8-pin block and plug this into CPU_PWR1. CPU_PWR2 can be ignored as this is for extreme overclocking/LN2 overclocking and is not necessary for you unless you are.

If you do want to plug the CPU_PWR2 cable in, just use 1 4-pin connector and plug that into this header. Either one of this 4-pin blocks should fit as long as they are aligned properly. Don't force it.  The rest can be plugged into the modular rail for CPU power. These connectors to the PSU should be on the left corner closest to the cables going to the PSU.
