GPU not working, making high pitched noise.

Hi, I'm enjoying gaming.., 1 hour later when I turn on my pc again, my gpu makes constant high pitch noise and doesn't give output. I've replaced gpu, pc boots just fine. I've put 'faulty' gpu to other pc and the same problem (noise and no output). After pc power on, gpu fans spin once and then they stop and gpu chip does not heat up at all. For a year was working fine (with driver crashes in some games)

GPU: Sapphire Radeon R9 270x 2GB Toxic

Primary PC:  R7 3700x; Corsair rm750x, 16gb ram hyperx, b450 steel legend mobo;

Secondary PC: Intel quad q6400, evga 600w, 4gb ddr2

Is my gpu dead?

I think you pretty much figured it out. That card sounds like its dead. 7 good years.
