Scalpocalipse GPU upgrade

Hello everyone!

I'm currently running a ASUS STRIX NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 DC2OC-4GD5 Graphics Card and I think it's time to upgrade but I still can't find any reasonable priced 3060's. Should I wait maybe the GPU prices will go down or will the prices will sky rocket again with Christmas coming up? Any advice is highly appreciated. Thank you.

I'm waiting until the first of next year. Ethereum is slated to change to proof-of-stake and that will drive down the profitability of mining (in theory). We could see a glut of affordable cards on the market. That's not even counting what Intel's GPU does to the market.
