Hello everyone,
As the title indicates i'm asking your recommendations on the possibility of installing my PSU with it's fan upwards.

The reason why I want to install it in such position is because the PSU fan makes a rattling noise when it starts working with the fan facing down;

I tried many positions and found that it's super quiet when the fan is upwards.

I have a cooler master NR600 case with one fan in the front as an intake and one fan in the back as an exhaust, with an arctic freezer 34 esports duo as a CPU cooler.

My PSU is cooler master masterwatt 650W.

I rlly want to install it upwards to eliminate the annoying noise but I also don't want it to choke so any experts could recommend me a solution?

You will find an audio of the noise attached.

Thanks.

Open it, replace the fan with a new 120mm fan and a cable adapter

Do NOTE that you run the risk of electrocution opening up a power supply that has not been properly drained of it's main capacitors.

You have to drain the capacitors FIRST before opening up a power supply. Typically, just trying to start the computer with the PSU switched flipped off will drain the capacitors instantaneously.

Adapers for psu fans actually exist?

Only use i see in this is when the fan connector is in a really tricky spot and convenience, otherwise you can just plug in a fan like normal, 12v is the middle of a 3 pin connector, though i deal with crappy fans with color coded cables so yea i see why the convenience factor is important

Yeah, you can do this for however length of time you feel comfortable with. You can go to the extreme and do it for 30 seconds to ensure there is no electrical charge left.
