Hey guys,

 

I've fitted my new sound card and installed the drivers but I don't get any sound out of it, anyone know what is going on here?

 

The green cable is in the green socket

DESKTOP - Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-Z77X-D3H Processor - Intel Core i5-2500K @ Stock 1.135v Cooling - Cooler Master Hyper TX3 RAM - Kingston Hyper-X Fury White 4x4GB DDR3-1866 Graphics Card - MSI GeForce GTX 780 Lightning PSU - Seasonic M12II EVO Edition 850w  HDD -  WD Caviar  Blue 500GB (Boot Drive)  /  WD Scorpio Black 750GB (Games Storage) / WD Green 2TB (Main Storage) Case - Cooler Master 335U Elite OS - Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate

Have you set the port on the soundcard to be the default port in Windows? You do this by right clicking the speaker icon in the buttom right corner and pressing ´Playback devices´. In here you should be able to find the port on your soundcard an set it as the default device.

 

If that doesn't work, try installing the UNi driver

Sound card are kinda a waste of money.

Current rig: CPU: AMD FX-8120  Cooling: Corsair H100i  Mobo: ASRock 970 Extreme 3  RAM: 8GB 1333Mhz  GPU: MSI GTX 660Ti Power Edition  Case: Fractal Design Define R4  Storage: 2TB Seagate HDD + 128GB Crucial SSD  PSU: be quiet! 730W bronze

not if you need the extra outputs.

Audio card is working fine now, I didn't set it as a default device or something
