Hey,

I bought the Creative A250 speakers yesterday and actually wanted to set the subwoofer on my floor but because of my high desk the cables wouldn't reach it. I didn't want to set it on my desk so I decided to put it on my PC which is under my desk. Now to my question: Could anything happen to my PC? I don't listen to music at an extremely high volume but at a medium volume quite a bit of vibration is passed on to the case...

Thank you,

simx

The only thing I could think of is subwoofers have a large magnet inside of them. Large magnets near hard drives never ends well. But I cant imagine its a particularly powerful/large sub so it should be ok :)

But then again big vibrations are not all that great for hard drives either.

Quack 🦆

HDD might not work long as it could, because of vibration, but i am not sure if it even shortens the life of it, but other parts will be totally ok. :)

Thats true but it has also been seen that magnetic field in ur case can help in cooling... :)

I would worry about. A the hard drives, B the case rattling, C cables, and cards, screws etc working loose over time.

Having a CRT monitor near a sub can make the monitor all messed up.

Large vibrations could potentially create errors on your hdd and ruin your data.

I could, of course, also set it on my desk but that isn't what you wanna do, is it?

It still works but not as well. I for one never really noticed the difference xD
