What is better, the MSI GeForce RTX 3060 12 GB GAMING X TRIO Video Card or the MSI GeForce RTX 3060 12 GB GAMING X Video Card?

samtheturtles

Technically the trio is better, but it shouldn’t matter, the 3060 doesn’t need three fans.

The trio has a higher clock speed, but 20mhz doesn’t make a difference. Unless you are over clocking you shouldn’t need the trio

I that case I'd go with the Trio. The cards are so similar that the cheaper one makes more sense. If the cheaper one is the slightly better one, even better.

If it’s super expensive I’d just wait if already have something, but if you are building a new pc you should get a 5600g or a 5700g

Unless you just GOTTA have a GPU, please do not spend $800 on a 3060 non Ti. Like try the Eggnew Shuffle (Today at least) They have a 3060 Ti and 3070 in there for $600 and $760 respectively. That would be a tough pill to see you waste such a large sum of money on a far inferior product. Skyrocket prices be damned.

Leonidas Specs: Ryzen 7 5800X3D | AMD 6800 XT Midnight Black | MSI B550 Gaming Plus | Corsair Dominator CL16 3200 MHz  4x8 32GB | be quiet! Silent Base 802

Maximus Specs: Ryzen 7 3700x | AMD 6700 XT Power Color Fighter | Asrock B550M-Itx/AC | Corsair Vengeance CL 16 3200 MHz 2x8 16 GB | Fractal Ridge Case (HTPC)

Agreed, or you could save some money and buy a 5600g/5700g depending on you budget, and get a 3080 or 6800 xt for less than that 3060 when prices settle. What do you do on your pc?
