Why do you need a 4k webcam? I'd say a DSLR is probably a better investment.

Hi! Logitech recently came out with a banger camera that's a bit less costly than the Brio, at least in my local market. It's called the "Logitech SteamCam". The only drawback is that it's a 1080p webcam, but in 60fps.

My brother is a streamer and he's been running the Brio for a while and fortunately, the review with side by side footage has just come out yesterday. You can take a look and compare for your self, although it's in a (almost certainly) foreign language. The text on the bottom right says "No color correction". The lefthand image is from the SteamCam while the slightly bigger image on the right is from the Brio.

A camera can be used as a webcam with a lot more versatility. That is what I'd recommend.

The cheapest DSLR is 2-3x the cost of the webcam he's looking at and versatility is meaningless if all he wants is a webcam.

 

That said for most things you would use a webcam for 1080p is probably fine and he could spend even less. 

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.
