Filling a loop with thermal paste

What would happen if I filled a loop with thermal paste?

If you dont fry up your pump within minutes and able to provide acceptable levels of flow, maybe then it would work. Thermal paste fills up microscopic gaps between temperature source and cooling device, it wont be as good as a coolant to move the heat.

Similarly to your last question about using liquid metal as a coolant, it would suck. I don't think you understand how this stuff even works. The job of a thermal compound is to quickly transfer heat from one substrate to another. The job of a coolant is to absorb heat. It's two entirely different purposes. Also, as I said in the last question, nothing beats water as a coolant. They use it for nuclear reactors for chrissakes. As such, the answer to this and any further questions along the same lines is the same: it will be inferior to water.
