Putting together an upgrade for my brother, haven't kept in touch for a while with technology, so any thoughts about this:

So my general idea is to get a ryzen processor, 32-64gb of ram, and a b550 motherboard. My brother is leaning for the 5750G option, because of the upgrade in graphics power.

Idea nr 1:

375€ for a ryzen pro 5750g,  (the APU in it surely has to be a lot better than a r5 230 he is using right now?)

125€ for 32g (2x16 ddr 3200 CL16,)

100-150€ for some b550 motherboard with lots of ports.

Idea nr 2:

275€ for 3700x

125€ x2 (32GB Kingston Fury stick, with 3200mhz CL16), for a total of 64gb, maybe with a possibility of a future update to 128GB?

100-150€ for some b550 motherboard with lots of ports.

I have no idea about a good motherboard, so that could be a good place to help. I didn't find any cheap old 2000 series threadrippers sadly, that would have been really cool.

I only see your reply if you @ me.

Good motherboard for this price would be MSI B550A-Pro, Not expensive and it does everything it should.

For RAM, Get a 3600 CL 16, Because APU is heavily dependant on RAM speed, So it matters a lot. 5750G is better than 3700X as a CPU and have better integrated graphics than R35 230, So it's definitely worth it. P.S. It only supports max 64 GB RAM.
