Budget (including currency): 2.2k AUD

Country: Australia

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Premiere Pro, After Effects, VR and general gaming.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

I already ordered a MSI MAG B560 Torpedo Board, and I've built out a parts list, looking to see if there are any recommendations for better parts I could use. Nothing except for the motherboard is set in stone yet.

CPU: Intel i5 11600-KF

GPU: Asrock AMD RX 6600XT Phantom 8gb

RAM: Corsair Vengeance RBG RS 16gb (2x8gb) 3200MHz

Storage: Samsung 980 PCIe 3.0 550gb NVME & Seagate Barracuda 2tb 3.5" hard drive

Cooling: Aerocool Mirage L240 240mm aio

Case: Corsair iCUE 220T RGB Airflow TG mid tower

PSU: Gigabyte GP-P850GM 850W 80+ Gold Fully Modular

A couple of thing to note, I was intially looking at NVIDIA Gpu, but at the moment in Australia, they are much more expensive than the AMD, about $300 more. Similar story for AMD CPU, that is why I chose the MSI intel motherboard.

This is my first build and any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

As linked video suggests, That PSU is explosive, So don't get it.

Also, 650W is absolutely enough.

I made a list for you with includes better CPU (B560 does not support overclocking, So getting K CPU is waste of money)

More trust worthy cooler.

Much better SSD, as well as bigger one.

Not exploding PSU, That's pretty good for a price.

Good case for a price range, That have great airflow and comes with 3 RGB fans.

so more reasonable build in the end.

Went for more memory and a 2TB HDD. You can still fit a RGB case in this build just fine (the extra fan is for the back of the case... make sure you mount it as an exhaust fan). I didn't 100% know if that $2.2K AUD was with or without the motherboard, so I made it with. lol!

Thanks heaps, the only thing with that list is the GPU that was chosen appears to be about $100 more than the one I was initially planning on using, would the extra cost be worth it?

Thanks so much for the help, just curious, was I better off buying a motherboard that supports overclocking, or is the extra money not really worth it?

It comes highly rated, at least on Newegg & Scorptec, so I'm going to go with yes.

No, currently available CPUs boost high enough, There's no need for overcklocking.

They are both 6600XT, In the end you'll get same performance, you are paying scalped price anyway, So paying any more than that is not worth at all.

Also, 10700F is much better CPU than 10400F 😄

Just one more thing sorry, you recommended the Phanteks p400a case for the build, and upon looking into that case further, I realised it doesn't support have your aio mounted to the top of the case. Knowing this, are there any other cases you could recommend within a similar price range? Thanks.

Sorry about that.

P360A supports top mounted 240mm radiator.
