Hi All,

So i have been having really strange problem lately. I use a 2tb intel 660p as a storage drive for my pc. Lately it is disappearing. What i mean by this is it does not show up in windows, crystal disk mark, or drive manger. it simply disappears. This is proceeded by 1 of 2 things. The first is i boot up my computer it blue screens, with no error code restarts and loads into window,  and the drive is gone. The second is writing something to the drive and it just errors out, it can no longer be written to or read from. Does not matter the speed or size of file. This occurs randomly. But is guaranteed on any extended write. more than 30 seconds or so. I have check the drives health when it is working and everything reads as fine, both through windows and crystal disk mark. Im kind of at a loss here. Ive updated the bios, all the drivers, and nothing changed. Updated windows and the same problem still occurs. My best guesses are the m.2 slot on the board is dying or the drive is. Any help is really appreciated!

Probably the drive dying, would need to install it in another computer to see if it does the same there to be sure.

the drive is just over 2 years old, less than 5000 power on hours. Isnt that super quick for a drive to die?

Anything can fail at anytime, defect, randomness of things... Most drives don't die that quick but some will.
