You're probably better off trying to go for a 6700XT from AMD direct. Every Thursday they drop at 10AM EST, and it's a random queue. See if you can get lucky and score one, it's a much higher performer than the 6600XT. Then put the ~$300 into a 5600X and you'll have a very great gaming system.

I want to upgrade it within $800

All about how long do you want to wait. If you wanna wait until GPU finally normalize for good, 3060Ti and 5600x is at your range, and add a good PSU in the list itll be a solid upgrade work in 1 sweep instead of doing it in 2 stint. Add 70$ more and youre looking at 3070, but if im being honest itll be worth while to just get AMD cards as @RONOTHAN## points out if you wont be hung up from the Adrenaline experience.

Have fun trying to get a better card for under $800. If you need help finding a 6600XT, you can use fixitfixitfixit's Discord.

Or even spend the money on something else. I only give ideas.

The first was to go for the 5600x and apply the extra coin elsewhere.

Rysen and Rayden

LOL

Someone had to say it

Seriously though. A Ryzen 5 5600X would be a great upgrade, it should be about $300. Depends on if you have a 350/450/550 motherboard though. If you have a 350, you need to upgrade. If you have a 450, you can upgrade the BIOS. If you have 550, then it might or might not work out of the box without updating BIOS.

Then you should try to get a AMD 6600 XT for MSRP $500, that makes $800.

Finally though, you might need to upgrade your PSU to run the CPU and GPU. 1050 doesn't draw much power in general.

the R5-2600 is still passable, the GPU however is not. Focus your attention there. 5800x is a waste of money for gaming though, especially on a budget.

so find a GPU first. If you've a little bit of budget left then a (used) 3600 would be a decent shout, especially if your playing more competative games where high FPS is desirable
