Data Transfer Rate Question!

Ashkiimaiitsoh

I have a 2.5" SSD I'm looking to put in my pc but I don't want to tear everything apart to plug in another sata power cable. I'm trying to see if it's worth getting a SATA to usb A or usb C cable to just run the drive external. I know I won't get the full transfer rate but what would be the best option? usb A, Usb C, or just tear the thing apart and waste 4 hours?

The usb socket types do not correspond to the transfer speeds , it's whatever the controller is connected to the ports
