The problem started a couple days ago, where my games began to feel slow. So today I checked CAM and my CPU was at 98 degrees with 0.5 GHz speed. I have cleaned out the cooler and applied new thermal paste and the cpu now sits at 75-100 degrees idle, and i opened a chrome tab to type out this question and it got to 114 degrees and crashed. Ive got no Idea what could be causing it or how to fix it. Ive got a 3700X… have never had a problem with it until now.

*When I boot the computer up it comes up with this message: “The exception unknown software exception (0xe0434352) occurred in the application at location 0x00007FFF6CEF4F99”

*EDIT* Ive had the PC with no problems since January, the problem only started in the last couple days*

do not use CAM. use Ryzen Master for your cpu

I Use my knowledge as business owner and self taught technician aswell as an AI to help people. AI might be controversial but it actually works pretty well 90% of the time.

Set clockspeed to 3ghz set vcore to 1v

If that doesn't help, you could try to re-apply the TIM bewween the CPU die and the heatspreader if you're confortable with that. One thing you could check first is if the cooler gets warm. If if does then this might help. Get something like Core Temp and look at how much power it's drawing. If it's not that much, the issue could be the TIM between the CPU Die and the heat spreader. Also make sure that the mounting pressure of your cooler is high, but also not too high since that can also be a problem

I just realised that this could be hard since installing something puts quite some load on the CPU for a short time and that might be enough to overheat it and get the system to shut down

1. uninstall cam. 2. get HWinfo64. 3. check if pump is running.

Could be hard because of the reason mentioned in my last post. But the third step is maybe the first one to do since he even got it to shut down after opening chrome. Installing something will also shut it down so maybe do the 3rd step first. If that fixes it then that was the issue

This will test if your bios has set a ludicrous voltage for your cpu

Either your cooler is fked or your board is overvolting the sht out of your cpu

I tried that, I cant seem to find an option for the 3ghz clock speed

I managed to get it this time, does anything look off? Or was this just to use instead of CAM? F4665ADB-5F60-4B35-BD9E-3D33E294FE3B.thumb.jpeg.2283a5ca619fc6dd0c7ba9ff468e1935.jpeg

Ive reseated it and applied new thermal paste, and i checked the mount a lot and it seemed like it was on well. Ive had the PC since December/January. And the problem only started 2 days ago so I’m not 100% sure what’s wrong

it could be sensor goen bad, try runnign cinebench and compare your score to other simialr scores

I’m not sure id be able to run a full cinebench, would probably get above 110 degrees and crash

Oh okay, ill check it. I’m using the NZXT H1 so its the pre-installed cooler. What would be the best way to check if its working?

If you have another cooler, try mounting that one and if that solves it, you know there has to be something wrong with your AIO, most likely a pump faliure since that is the weakest point of an AIO

I sadly don’t have access to another cooler at the moment, Ill try and see if i can get my hands on one. If its just the cooler ill be pretty happy because I should be able to get a replacement from NZXT

Can you hear the pump working? Put it to full speed so that it's as loud as it can get. If you can't hear it at all then this is very likely the issue and you'll need to replace your AIO

Hey, I turned off the fans so the only thing in motion was the pump, put my ear up to it and I could heard it running. I could also feel the head in the tubes of the AIO, one was hot and one was cooler. So I’m not sure what it could be now

Hmmm, is your CPU still at 90 degrees in Idle? Seems to not be a pump issue then since aou were able to feel a temperature difference from the ingoing to the out going tube. It could also be that the fin structure of the Block is clogged up with stuff and therefore you can feel a temperature difference since it does cool but not enough to keep your CPU cool. If you gently squish one of the tubes with your fingers, can you feel water flow? Just to eliminate the possibility of a pump faliure entirely. I'd still try a replacement AIO though. If it doesn't help, you know it's not the AIOS' fault
