3070 clock?

QuantumPlutonian12

Hello people. I don't think this is that major but I just wanted to post because I think this is cool.

Relevant info:

GPU: Gigabyte Auros 3070 Master

two 140mm fans intake (front)

three 120mm fans exhaust (top and rear)

Boost clock (advertised): 1845mhz

So basically, I adjusted some fan curves on my gpu and got 2ghz boost clock when playing Holdfast: Nations at War. It was sitting at around 65C ish. No overclock, no nothing. I just thought it was cool. What is the largest clock you've ever seen without an overclock on your card?

Edit: I should add it sits around 1850-1900mhz usually. Did I win the silicon lottery or is it just boosting as high as it can? I haven't owned a retail gpu that I could monitor this well before.

No, just its normal to boost higher than advertised

I could use some help with this!

please, pm me if you would like to contribute to my gpu bios database (includes overclocking bios, stock bios, and upgrades to gpus via modding)

the boost clock thing is only meant as a minimum "boost"... not every chip is the same so they need to do this to have a sort of guaranteed boost behavior...it also highly depends on temps.

Aaaand, this is more like it. 😛

FYI I undervolted my 3070, its at 2010-2040 mhz in most games and doesn't clock down usually either...

Again,  depends mostly on temps, less voltage = lower temps = higher boost
