AIO standoff issues

vibinjamz

Hey All,

I was hoping you could help me with an issue I have right now. This is my first time installing an AIO but the problem starts with the prebuilt pc. It's a Lenovo legion and it's Lenovo's own motherboard and it looks to have a backplate for a stock intel cooler riveted onto it. I don't think I can get the backplate off because of that, so my questions are. Am I stuck with the stock intel cooler unless I get a new motherboard? Are there special standoffs that would fit the proprietary intel backplate? Is there anything else I can do to try and mount my cpu cooler?

Any suggestion is much appreciated.

Thanks,

James

Do you have access to the back of the motherboard? The backplate may be attached with adhesive.
