So I'm pretty sure I punctured my h80i by overtightening the screws. Multiple fins appear flattened when looking through the screw holes. Not to mention the blue led has quit working and I have idle temps ~65°c. Load gets into 100 easily so I've decided to go back to my stock cooler for now.

My question is, what should my next step be? Is there anything to do to repair it or am I boned?

I have considered a custom loop for quite some time but was unsure it would be worth it as nothing I do seems to be very cpu intensive. My other concern is fitting everything in my arc mini r2 w/ define mini front fascia.

My most recent plan was getting a swiftech apogee drive, alphacool ut60 240 rad in the roof and a monsta 120 for the front. I do use both an optical drive and the bottom drive cage so a 360/280 in the roof or a 120 in the front won't fit. I just don't know where to put a res or if it will be enough cooling for the cpu and gpu (in the future.)

The gpu is a mystery as well because I have a 7950 that's pretty much eol for high end gaming and I'm really thinking about getting an 880 when it comes out (was thinking on a 780 as well but since the 800 series seems so close I think I can wait.)

Overall, endgame is being ready for star citizen at (hopefully) 60 fps and being silent the rest of the time. Any specs I forgot should be in the sig but I can be spacey so just ask if otherwise. Any thoughts?

helped me a ton.

the LED sucks on that thing, not your fault.

and some bent fins, especially at the corner, are no problem.

Thanks for all the help so far!

I'm leaning towards an RMA, just dreading the shipping cost.

I forgot to mention that I have been using the H80i for over a year, overclocked, with no ill effect. It did start acting wonky about a week or so back and I noticed some of the pins were coming out of the fan control connector at the pump.

I did do a reinstall and was able to fix it but temps have not been the same since. It only recently starting getting 60+ at IDLE and when removing it one tube was significantly hotter than the other.

That leads me to believe it is either a pump malfunction or some kind of leak/blockage but I admit I have no experience in diagnosing such problems.
