Anything with HDMI 1.4+ can support 144 Hz, although it's not quite guaranteed because manufacturers will sometimes cheap out on the implementation. Anything with HDMI 2.0+ definitely supports 144 Hz. If you can't stand VA black smearing go for an IPS monitor. At this point almost all flat IPS monitors are reasonable quality, but I've had good experiences with LG, Acer, and ASUS.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yea the g3 is shit. I have used a Benq xl2411 for the bast 6 years now and that worked great, but now i have switched from desktop to a Lenovo legion 5. I also looked at the xl2411p which has hdmi 1.4 but that one does not support 144hz over the hdmi. Soo i think i will maybe go for the new Acer nitro or buy an active adapter for hdmi 2.1 to DP
