So my friend and I have been playing Minecraft egg wars for months now. My PC has never had any trouble running any kind of Minecraft, even RTX. But recently my CPU started hitting 90-100 C while gaming. This is very abnormal as before it was rare to see temps go above 70 even during high load. In the past few weeks nothing has physically changed on the rig. The only thing that I remember that could have led to this is I downloaded a sketchy program a couple days ago, but I have since reset my PC and ran a virus scan. The AIO pump is running and all fans are spinning. SO WHATS THE DEAL?!

If you are 100% sure that AIO pomp is fine then try to simply reseat the cold plate, because it's number 1 reason why AIO fails . Reapply new quality thermal compound and reinstall the AIO coldplate.

It shouldnt just randomly stop making contact but maybe you bumped your PC with leg or someone else did and it dislodged it from correct position.

If you suspect some software having to do anything with your temps you can monitor how much of system resources each app uses in task manager, if you see any abnormal usages , get rid of that software.
