After I upgraded my cpu from i7-6700 to i5 11400 , I noticed that the cpu usage for both my previous and new cpu are the same (ie. around 60%) for the same task or gaming such as valorant csgo . So my ques is whether the better cpu will reduce the usage or it will be same as the old cpu . If yes , which means the better cpu will only improve performance such as efficiency and etc but not the usage ?

Yeap im only talking about the usage particularly

Ok. Usage has absolutely no bearing on anything without any statistics relative to the amount of information the cpu is processing.

Meaning with incomplete data , the usage is about as important as half of a math problem.

Are you getting better performance in those games?

If so, it's because you now have more CPU resources than before and the game is using those resources. So in the end, yeah, your usage is similar, but you're getting a better or more stable frame rate. Ultimately, that should be your goal.

If you're getting worse performance with the same utilization, then we have a potential problem.
