two of my 8gb ddr4 ram stick are showing up as 4 gb any idea what could cause this

Operating System  Windows 12 Home 64-bit
CPU   Intel Core i7 7700 @ 3.60GHz    45 °C  Kaby Lake 14nm Technology
RAM     32.0GB Dual-Channel Unknown @ 1200MHz (14-14-14-32)
Motherboard     ASRock B250 Gaming K4 (CPUSocket)    34 °C
Graphics     SONY TV (1360x768@60Hz)    DELL IN2020M (900x1600@60Hz)    Intel HD Graphics 630 (ASRock)    1023MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti (ZOTAC International)    45 °C    ForceWare version: 388.13    SLI Disabled
Storage     1863GB TOSHIBA DT01ACA200 (SATA )    36 °C    7452GB Western Digital WDC WD80EDAZ-11TA3A0 (SATA )    38 °C    931GB Hitachi HGST HTS541010A9E680 (SATA )    32 °C    223GB ADATA SU630 (SATA (SSD))    39 °C    953GB SPCC Solid State Disk (SATA (SSD))    40 °C    500GB Generic- SD/MMC USB Device (USB )

as shimeji stated, it's most likely because you have a 32 bit operating system.
