Okay so this monitor can run at 75Hz, its listed that it can in the specifications.

Only issue is that every time my friend sets his 7950 to 75Hz in CCC the resolution lowers itself from 1920x1080 to a lower resolution. I need a bit of help because I know that for my monitor I had to set a custom profile for it to work. I just don't know what custom profile I need for his monitor because his monitor is something I have not heard of before.

Do you know what he is connected to? Display port dvi vga ect? I'm pretty sure there are caps on each one. I'm no monitor expert though, so I may be wrong that any connection that can run 1080p 60hz can run 1080p 75hz

He's using HDMI, HDMI should be fine? I use HDMI without any issues.

Or.. overclock his current one.

Mine does 75hz "up to" 1600x900, then drops to 60hz, so I used CRU and got 1080p @ 70hz

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz
