What Eclipse For Java?

What type of Eclipse should I use for java coding? I know a few have java in the title. Also the first thing I'm going to do on it is a guessing game if that helps decide what version I'll need.

I use "Eclipse Standard 4.3.2" with jkd8. Which one you choose shouldn't affect what you do but you can install plugins like window builder. If you click on the name, it will show a list of what comes with the download

It depends on what kind of programming you'll be doing, Have a look at the package explenations and look for whatever suits you're needs. Some may have addons which could be useful in a certain occasion where as in other they could be in the way.

Technically, it doesn't matter. You can download Eclipse for C++ and add Java development through the plugin interface. But, Eclipse for Java gives you the pure Java experience.

Basically 2D games using java apis, nothing too extravagant like 3D games. Similar to:
