Air cooling/liquid cooling issues PO3-630

Georgewhite95

Hi all so I’m new to upgrading. I recently purchase a prebuilt Predator Orion 3000 PO3-630. It’s an LGA1200 11th Gen i7-11700f. The problem I’m having is I bought a Artic 7x freezer cooler which is stating it’s comparable with lga1200. However my stock back plate has the cpu case screwed onto it which means I can’t remove the back plate to push the cool back clips through the motherboard holes intended for the cooler mount to go through. Please help me it’s stressing me out. Is there a seperate plate I can buy with just the cpu holes so I don’t have the arms going into the standoff gaps

If you can't remove that?  You're kinda SoL, and can't use that cooler.

I haven't seen alternative backplates on boards like you're describing.

The only thing I can think to do here is remove the CPU back plate (you'll need a Torx screwdriver), cut off those 4 arms, then reinstall the plate.  That will void any warranty on the motherboard of course, but the cooler should fit after that.
