I am looking for a gaming laptop just for gaming I am not planning to take it around so it will sit on my desk %98 of the time I am flexible on the price but I am not looking for a beast if it can handle 1080p I will be satisfied with that.

Unless you're planning to take it anywhere, can't find a good graphics card or a prebuild with specs, I wouldn't really recommend one.

I have a gaming laptop that's a paperweight with a 2070. When it was working, the heat and obnoxious screeching from the cooling system were annoying. Laptop keyboards are also pretty bad. Don't lock yourself into a platform you can't service easily + poor cooling if this is intended to be used like a desktop.

Hey, Opeb!
Have you checked on NewEgg.ca and Amazon.ca, BestBuy.com? or some local Canadian store.
60-75Hz is very normal for casual players--144-165Hz is enough for any competitive player. Don't get 240-360Hz.
Laptops are great for carrying and are extremely portable but if you aren't planning on moving much, I would recommend a Desktop Machine wouldn't hurt the budget. (Not Guaranteed)
My suggestion is not that great but hopefully, it helps a bit. or someone else does a fantastic job with the support you with links, etc.
Have a great day!
